About Us
Pro Art & Co was founded to promote international art and culture aiming to narrow the borders which are dividing people, and to create bridges over cultural barriers. Pro Art & Co promotes events based on the cultural diversity of ethnic groups, their philosophy and beliefs, expressing them through art.
Status:
Pro Art & Co (Pro Art) was registered on the 18th October 2004 in England and Wales under The Companies Act 1985 and 1989 as a Company Limited by Guarantee and not having a Share Capital; the registration number is 5262487.
Our Mission:
We believe in a common "ethnicity", shaped by the joint efforts of all members of society, based on shared values, tolerance and friendship, which start forming at an early age, when children still do not distinguish between different skin colours.
Our programme focuses on creating a better understanding of different cultures, the promotion of their heritage, art and traditions, and their connection with other cultures and people, who shared and influenced the lives of these nations. Music, visual art, literature, and old stories will tell us all there is to know about them.
From Our Constitution:
"The objects of the Company are to promote art and diversity of cultures of people primarily living in the UK, but also wider, in order to advance the education among people of different multi ethnic, religious or cultural background, particularly among those who are socially deprived and disadvantaged. In this way cultural differences will be marginalised and more understanding and friendship will be fostered and promoted in the community and ultimately within the society."
