  LLP Grundtvig Workshops

THE CITY OF LONDON: HERITAGE AND HISTORY

31 OCTOBER - 7 NOVEMBER 2010

Deadline to send your signed application forms is 7 September 2010.

You can download an application form here.

The workshops, which we propose, will last 6 days, will be introduced by our history experts and the site curators and participants will receive short history booklet prior to their arrival.

We plan to visit historic and heritage sites and museums and to include evening activities related to traditional and more popular English art and culture. Participants would learn directly about the history of immigration, trade and exchange of culture and art in London throughout ages, followed by the discussion and collection of photographs/films and entries from participant’s daily observations (diary) in order to create a booklet and evaluate the project.

We would like to make this week of activities also fun and an opportunity for people to forge more friendships, so we plan joint social evenings.

Health - Lifestyle Change Project

We take this opportunity to announce our new project Health and Lifestyle Change which started in May 2010.

The project is a series of 10 talks and workshops, once a month, where we intend to inform the general public about healthy lifestyle and foods which support health and help to prevent many illnesses or other harm to one's organism. These workshops would include practical advice, and stories from the personal experiences from people and experts from all around the world.

Our aim is to stimulate people to think about their health and to acquire basic knowledge on how the body works, its biochemistry and to learn about the food optimal for our health and digestion.
